Dresses by Dominique for The Tuts

Exciting news guys my dresses are in a music video!

Let Go Of The Past cover art

Back in May I made three dresses for the awesome band The Tuts for their video Let Go of the Past. This is the first single off of their upcoming album. The album is being released at the end of the year and you can pledge here.

Inspired by the patterns of the 70s I made three pinafore style dresses for the shoot using bold floral prints.

Here is the mood board I worked from.

I self drafted the pattern. The fabric was eBay and the lining and buttons are from Fabric Land.

At the time of making them everything was a bit hectic so I ended up pulling an all nighter to get them done but I could not be happier! The girls all looked awesome in their dresses and they look amazing in the video.

I went to the premier of their video yesterday at DIY Space London and it was so good to see other people wearing my dresses in the flesh. Don’t they all look beautiful?

I’m a big fan of the band and so glad I could support what they do in this way.

I’d love to do more projects like this so if you’re looking for something similar do get in touch, I’d love to hear from you.

Here is the video! (It’s awesome!)

Buy the single here.

  1. That is a great achievement. Well-done! It is nice seeing your work on other people and what exposure it’s going to be for you
